Allcal News: Designers Join Allcal Team To ‘Hack’ The UX

Allcal hires two UX designers to help revamp the social planning app as a result of the ‘Hack Allcal UX Challenge.’

Founder and CEO Daniel Cocanougher launched the challenge at Dallas Startup Week, after bad user experience left many members of the startup community frustrated with the new platform.

“We heard the issues first hand and wanted to do something about them right away,” Cocanougher explains. “And with the entire Dallas startup community in one building for Startup Week, we were able to find four terrific designers within the week.”

Each designer submitted a white paper and discussed their ideas with the Allcal team.

“The results were enlightening, surprising, and full of opportunities for us to improve the product,” Cocanougher said.

Although planning to pick one designer to move forward, Allcal decided to hire two people to continue work, Stefanie Orozco and Monish Kumar.

“Allcal has the potential to innovate how people manage multiple calendars simultaneously,” Orozco said. “After reviewing feedback and the app toolset, my goal was to help Allcal reposition existing tools into layouts highlighting their strengths but are more intuitive and task-focused.”
